Another Day in the Life~

I woke up today to a cool and rainy morning. Decided it would be a good day to clean house and do laundry, maybe make a great supper for Brian to come home to. Mom came by and asked me to lunch so she and I and Tammy went to the Friendly Cafe for a leisurely lunch and lots of visiting. When I came back home I went downstairs and switched my laundry, then came back upstairs. It was then that I heard a loud boom coming from the basement. I had no electricity anywhere in the basement but upstairs everything was working fine. I called Brian and he walked me through checking all the circuits in the circuit box. Everything seemed fine there so I called our landlord who sent a couple of workmen right out. It seems the wiring was questionable in the basement where the washer and dryer were plugged in. So, they replaced some of the wiring and electrical outlets and just for good measure checked our furnace and replaced the filter. Now, everything is working just fine. The worst part of the whole deal is resetting all the digital clocks and appliances in the house! We all know how much of a chore that is!!
