2011....A new year.....A new beginning~

A huge snowstorm, a marriage, a hospital stay, visits from kids and grandkids!  A lot has happened this year.  In October 2010, we moved out of Abingdon to a little house in the country near Avon.  We both love living in the country, it is so beautiful and peaceful and best of all, no trains!  lol  Our former residence was near the train tracks and the whistle of the train would rouse us from our deepest sleep!  Out here, we often hear the howling of the coyote's in the night, which is a lot easier to sleep to.  (Thank goodness we don't have to go outside to an outhouse like in the olden days!)

This winter there sure was a lot of snow, and one huge snowstorm.  I secretly love winters like this.  In fact, I love all the seasons and what they bring, even though I do my fair share of grumbling about the cold or the heat.

On March 22, 2011, Brian and I went to the courthouse in Monmouth and got married!  We eloped in fact.  We told no one!  After we were married, we began the task of calling all of our loved ones and telling them.  Most were surprised, but knew we intended to be married, just maybe not this way.  Everyone was happy for us.  I am over the moon happy and proud to be married to Brian.  He spoils me, pampers me, loves me, makes me laugh, works hard for us, is easy going, fun to be with and a great guy!  After two years together he still opens the car door for me each and everytime we go somewhere.  He makes me feel as though I am the most loved woman in the universe, and he tells me so everyday!  I can only hope to be the best wife in the world to him, he deserves the best!

Two short weeks into our marriage, I suffered from yet another attack in my on going battle with my gall bladder.  This one was the worst yet, and I spiked a very high and dangerous fever this time.  In fact, I was delirious and was talking out of my head.  I told stories of being kidnapped, taken to the hospital, I knew it was a conspiracy between Brian and his Mom, who is an OR nurse at the hospital I was in.  I told stories about eggs that had chickens in them, and many more 'off the wall' stories. I tend to hallucinate when I get high fevers, have done it all my life.  Long story short, I had a badly inflamed and infected gall bladder which was removed the next day.  I ended up staying at the hospital for five days hooked up to IV antibiotics for a gangrenous gall bladder.  I was a very sick woman for awhile.  Brian stood up to his vows, 'in sickness and in health' very well.  He waited on me hand and foot, did laundry, dishes, cooking, besides working full time.  I wouldn't have made it without him.

The week before Mother's Day, my oldest son Jason, my daughter Jennifer and her two sons, Logan and Gavin came to stay with us for a week.  We had such a great time!  I enjoyed my two grandsons immensely.  Logan was sad when they had to leave, he hid under the bed for a time, finally coming out and begging us to move to 'Spwingfield' where they live.  Brian told him we couldn't because he has to work here.  To which Logan replied, "We have semi's in Spwingfield too Bwian."  haha   I cannot wait until I see them again!

So, now Summer is upon us, we have just celebrated 4th of July!  The days are very hot and humid, just like they are supposed to be.  Too hot and humid for me.  ( See, I told you I complained about the weather! )  Brian has been working very long hours and days.  Sometimes he doesn't get home home until 9 pm or after just time enough to eat, shower and head to bed so he can do it all again tomorrow.  The weekends are about the only real time we have together.  I treasure our weekends.
